Emergency Fund

The Auxiliary Emergency Fund (AEF) was established in 1969 with a bequest from the estate of Auxiliary member Helen Colby Small of Burlington, Wisconsin. It continues today solely through generous donations from Auxiliary members.

Eligibility: Persons who have been members of the American Legion Auxiliary for at least the immediate past two consecutive years, AND whose current membership dues are paid at the time the emergency occurs (three consecutive years’ dues) may apply for assistance.

Assistance Provided: The maximum grant amount is $2,400, disbursed as the Auxiliary Emergency Fund Grant Committee determines.

 
 

EMERGENCY FUND REPORTING

Mid-Year Reports -- Due . Each Unit Americanism Chairman is required to submit a narrative report by December to the Department Emergency Fund Chairman. Also forward a copy to the Department President Karen Panzarella.

Year-End Reports -- Due April . Each Unit Americanism Chairman is required to submit a narrative report by April to the Department Emergency Fund Chairman. Also forward a copy to the Department President Karen Panzarella.
